Please join us for the most celebratory event of the year - the MSHP Awards and Medication Safety Dinner! This annual event will feature the 2019 Medication Safety award recipients providing a one-hour CE talk, remarks from the 2019 Purudum Award recipient, and a presentation of the MSHP Excellence Award, Health System Pharmacist of the Year, Pharmacy Technician of the Year, Preceptor of the Year, and Jeffrey Ensor Leadership Award. Celebrate your friends and colleagues in style at Camden Yards!

Location, Parking, & Directions

The Designated Hitters Lounge is located on the 4th Floor of Camden Yards Warehouse. Enjoy excellent views of the stadium while you mingle and network. Guests are welcome to attend! When you arrive at Camden Yards Warehouse, enter the doors to the right of Dempsey's (they are marked 333 W Camden St). Take the elevator to the 4th Floor and proceed down the hallway to the Designated Hitters Lounge. Staff will be on site to direct you. 

Parking is included in your registration fee and will be available in Lot A. This parking lot is located on Lee St, directly behind Camden Yards Ballpark and Warehouse. Click here to view the parking lot map. 

Driving Directions to Lot A

From the North on I-83

  • Take I-83 (southbound into the City)
  • Turn right onto Lombard St.
  • Turn left onto Greene St. and keep in the left lane past the ballpark
  • Turn left onto Lee St. (just before passing under the bridge)
  • The entrance to Lot A is on the left

From North or East on I-95

  • On I-95 take exit 53 "MLK Jr. Blvd./Russell St." (Keep in the far right lane on I-395)
  • Then take the Russell St. exit (towards the ballpark)
  • Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Lee St.
  • The entrance to Lot A is on the left

From the South or West on I-95

  • On I-95 take exit 52 " Russell St. North"
  • Follow Russel St. North towards the City (past the football stadium)
  • Turn right at Lee St. (immediately after passing under the bridge)
  • The entrance of Lot A is on the left

Walking Directions from Lot A to the Designated Hitters Lounge

Once you have parked at Lot A, walk up Lee St toward the Warehouse. Take a left onto W Camden St, toward Dempsey's. The Dempsey's Parking Lot will be located on your right, it stretches the length of the Warehouse. Walk up the sidewalk past Dempsey's until to reach the doors marked 333 W Camden. Enter the Lobby and take the elevators up to the 4th floor. From the elevator lobby on the 4th floor, take a left and you will see our event in the Designated Hitters Lounge. 

Your GPS may also be able to guide your walking directions from Lot A. Enter the street address: 333 W Camden St, Baltimore, MD. It is approximately a 3 minute walk from the parking lot around the Warehouse to the lobby entrance.

Activity Title: Plan for Success by Preparing to Fail - Use of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis Prior to Implementation of an IV Workflow Management System

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Review best practices for the safe preparation of compounded sterile preparations.
  2. Discuss use of failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) when evaluating new health-care technologies.
  3. Describe application of a FMEA prior to implementation of gravimetric based workflow management system for sterile compounding.

Activity Length: 1 Contact Hours Or 0.1 CEUs (Pharmacists & Pharmacy Technicians).
